The eye lands first on the centre of the board, where an aerial golf course curls around gold lettering that reads THE GAME OF GOLF, COLLECTOR EDITION. Everything else arranges itself politely around it.
Design Story
The palette is disciplined: deep forest green, aged cream, muted gold. Property spaces run the perimeter with small painted icons - a tee, a putter, a bunker, a flag - each priced in tidy serif numerals. Title deed cards name Opening Fairway, Island Green and Long Approach. Stacked club-cash notes fan out in pastel bands, house-shaped tokens sit in ordered rows, and two green dice rest at the edge beside brass-toned pieces: a cart, a bag, a ball, a trophy. Nothing shouts. The contrast comes from restraint - dark green panels holding pale cream centre, printed rule text small enough to invite you to lean in.
Tabletop Experience
As a board game, the layout does the work. The centre illustration reads clearly from across a table, the perimeter typography stays legible at arm's length, and the tokens, cards and money share one visual language, so the whole set looks composed rather than assembled. Open on a table, it presents like a display piece that happens to be playable.
