A resting animal, a full moon, and a treeline reduced to silhouette. The composition asks for stillness before it asks for anything else.
Design Story
The wolf lies across the full width of the surface, body curved into a long horizontal arc that anchors the lower two-thirds of the frame. Behind it, a pale moon rises as a single luminous disc, its cool ivory tone providing the only real brightness against layered browns, charcoals and moss greens. The bare branch at the upper left breaks the circle's perfection \Uffffffff a small, deliberate disruption that keeps the moon from reading as decoration. The eyes sit slightly right of centre and pull the gaze immediately; everything else is texture. Scattered maple leaves in rust and amber ring the lower edge, softening the transition between subject and border. The illusion of stitched, tufted depth gives the image sculptural weight without any actual movement.
Entryway & Styling
On a doormat, the artwork is read from directly above and from standing height, so scale matters more than detail. The motif fills the surface edge to edge, with the dark outer border containing the irregular silhouette and giving the composition a defined footprint at the threshold. Placed against stone or a wooden door, it functions as a low, quiet statement piece rather than a pattern.
