Design Story

The composition works in three tonal layers: a deep forest field patterned with small repeating shamrocks, a cream oval medallion floating at the centre, and thin gold rules framing the whole thing. Typography carries the hierarchy \Uffffffff a small BOSTON above, CELTICS set large in condensed serif, then 19 and 46 flanking a gold laurel wreath and shamrock. BASKETBALL CLUB and ESTABLISHED 1946 close it out in restrained caps. Vertical cream and gold stripes run down each edge, pulling the eye upward and giving the panel a tailored, banded structure rather than a flat print.
