The eye lands on the fish first. A swordfish, rendered in pale metallic scales and raised relief, arcs across a deep navy panel scattered with gold constellation lines. Everything else on the surface arranges itself around that single silhouette.
Design Story
The background is a navigator's daydream: star maps, compass roses, a crescent moon, a plotted grid, and engraved coordinates reading 13 42 22 N, 71 18 33 W. Lower down, the typography takes over in clean gold lettering, MIDNIGHT PURSUIT above SWORDFISH COLLECTION, with a compass rose anchoring the base. The contrast is what makes it work: a matte, near-black blue field against warm gold linework, with the swordfish supplying the only cool metallic highlight. The composition reads vertically, top to bottom, so nothing competes for attention.
Use & Experience
On a tumbler silhouette, that vertical hierarchy is an advantage. The swordfish sits at the natural front-facing focal area, roughly at eye level in the hand, while the star chart wraps around the body and keeps the design alive from every angle. The lettering and compass fill the lower third without crowding it. Beside the handle, the gold accents and navy body read as a considered accessory rather than a novelty print.
