Design Story

The composition is strictly vertical and strictly centered. A ribbon banner reads UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS across the top, a circular medallion holds the Jayhawk in crimson, blue and yellow, and beneath it a plaque reads KANSAS JAYHAWKS with EST. 1865 tucked below. Lower down, silver-toned feather scrollwork fans outward around a thin red spine, closing on a small banner lettering LIMITED EDITION. Royal blue and off-white split the field, and the sculpted silver linework gives every element a raised, engraved look. The bird's expression is calm confidence rather than aggression, which keeps the whole crest feeling ceremonial.

Use & Experience

On a tumbler, that vertical stacking is the smart move. The focal panel sits at eye level on the front, the handle side stays clean with a simple blue inlay stripe, and the tapered base carries the ornamental scrollwork so nothing crowds the top. Strong carry presence without visual noise.
