Design Story

The wraparound surface is built in strict vertical order: arched lettering reading University of North Carolina, then a medallion holding the interlocked NC letterform in pale blue, then a ribbon banner naming the North Carolina Tar Heels, with a small date panel beneath. Scrollwork, quilted diamond lattice and faint gem-like accents frame the focal panel without competing with it. The palette stays restrained \Uffffffff porcelain white drifting into soft blue, edged with warm gilt line work. That restraint is what makes the monogram read instantly from across a room.
